Ask A Stylist: Eloise

Truthfully, I do not have a typical client because everyone is different. Each individual brings their own unique style, preferences, and needs, making my work exciting and evolving. I love helping everyone find pieces that make them feel confident and express their personality.

When a client expresses interest in visiting the store and working with me, I like to connect with them beforehand to understand their needs better. I ask about the occasion they're shopping for, the key items we should focus on, their usual sizes, and any specific likes or dislikes in fashion. With this insight, I curate a selection of pieces tailored to their preferences and set up the fitting room with outfits that reflect their style.

During the fitting process, I encourage clients to stay open-minded, as they often discover new favorites among pieces they might have yet to consider. My goal is to create a welcoming environment that fosters both comfort and confidence, helping clients explore new styles that push them slightly outside their comfort zones.

Invest in yourself — in every area. 

Currently, I adore Frame, Zadig and Voltaire, Theory, and Ralph Lauren. 

Every woman should have a classic dress that they can dress up or down for any occasion, a fabulous pair of jeans, and fun jewelry. 

Whenever I need fashion inspo I go to Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok. I also jump to my favorite fashion influencers. (Discover Eloise's favorite fashion influencers on her stylist page!) 

You should use a personal stylist because you will have someone to push you outside your comfort zone while understanding your style. Aside from helping people find new pieces, I love to help clients put together outfits from the items they already have in their closet but have yet to think of styling together. Another set of eyes is always helpful!

Trends are tricky because they come and go so fast. I always pick my favorites, as you can repeat them each season. I currently love the oversized trend.

Jeans are always in style and my go-to. My favorite styles of denim are wide-leg, mini boot cut, and barrel jeans. I am also a big fan of mini skirts for fall and winter. 

I don't believe in fashion mistakes. However, I think when you don't like something but force yourself into wearing or buying it because it's "trendy," it is a mistake. Be in love with everything you wear. 

As cheesy as this may sound, Taylor Swift. She has such a wide range of aesthetics that it would be so fun to work with her. I also would love to work with Blake Lively, as I adore her and her style.
